FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL:
Bright striped t-shirt and shorts, red sneakers, blue eyes, blond hair styled in a cowlick...there's a distinct sense of "idyllic child of young America" to his fashion, and yet a closer look tends to dilute the effect pretty quickly. Shirt's threadbare and getting a bit frayed at the hems; sneakers are dingy and worn from wear on all kinds of terrain. He doesn't smile as often as his caricature probably would.
SOUND:
His voice is still about as boyish and high as expected, if Smash Bros is anything to go by. Normally a bit quiet, somewhat soft-spoken.
SCENT:
Apparently often smells like a dog and a kid (in that order).
DEMEANOR:
It'd be easy to assume he's a bit shy, considering how quiet and unobtrusive he generally acts. In truth, though, he's actually just kind of preoccupied nowadays--approach him directly and he's friendly enough, willing to chat if you like and help if he can. Calm, polite; careful and thoughtful with his words when addressing strangers, but gets more prone to normal kid-like dialogue with other kids, close friends, and family. At this point he's also pretty desensitized to Weird Stuff, and so will probably be curious but unfazed even if you're sporting three heads and tentacle arms and are trying to offer him a slice of cheese. (Which he'll take you up on, thanks, cheese is gr8.)

PHYSICAL AFFECTION:
He'd be a bit surprised, but he doesn't mind if the good intentions are there! Hugs can be nice.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE:
If push comes to shove, he'll engage. He's armed with a decent stick and has a surprisingly strong swinging arm! But do contact me beforehand so we can hash out specifics, especially if/when his PSI (see below) gets thrown into the mix.
MENTAL INFORMATION:
Lucas is a psychic kid, which means he can use psychokinetic skills called PSI with high-level proficiency! He specializes in healing, barriers, and buffs, but can conjure two different attacks as well. (One notices that he uses nothing but offensive PSI in Smash Bros; all of those skills actually belong to Kumatora in Mother 3 proper! I imagine she taught him the basics before he entered or smth, bc the thought is adorable and this will never not be funny to me lmao) Being psychic also grants him some passive sensory bonuses, such as a very limited form of telepathic empathy, and sensitivity to strange energies that normal people might not notice. Since psychic abilities are rare where he's from and mindreading isn't a prevalent thing, however, he doesn't have any mental barriers to speak of. So fellow psychics that can read minds are free to do so, and pick up on his psychic self in general! Contact me for deeper brain delving, though, so we can discuss.
MAGICAL INFORMATION:
Maybe also kind of magical?? The abilities Lucas has are called PSI and firmly reference psychic powers, but sometimes these skills are referred to as a form of magic as well, and can even be restored with 'magic' things (ie Magic Pudding, Magic Butterflies, etc.) For now we might as well assume it's a little bit of both, like......some kind of brain magic. Yeah. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ People that can sense these things can pick up on it if they want and chalk it up as a particularly weird form of magic.
MEDICAL INFORMATION:
Lucas is a pretty hale and hearty human boy with no immediate illnesses or disabilities to speak of. Physiologically his brain might have some odd qualities, on account of his psychic abilities? But apart from that, everything else is normal. He's leading a pretty athletic lifestyle lately.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS:
No legitimate debilitating triggers. However, talk of his late mother and brother is still...a bit difficult for him. For other reasons he also tends to have an acute, kneejerk unhappy response to cyborgs/robots/chimeras in general--he'll hear them out, and even help them if they need it, but the initial reaction is still kind of hard to get over...

Honestly his game already does enough fourth-walling on its own, so sure! It still wouldn't be the weirdest thing this kid's ever run into in his life, though...
SHIPPING:
A puppy crush with a peer close to his own age could be a thing that happens, but I'd prefer it be something that develops over the course of threaded cr. I generally don't post to shipping memes for this reason, but if you have an idea for a pairing in mind, contact me and I might be game to work towards it? No gender pref, m/f and m/m both fine. It's also gonna be a solid No to shipping with any castmates from Mother 3 itself! (Except maybe that super talkative girl on the cliff?? That was cute...who is rping Nana though, nobody that's who smh)
DO NOT WANT:
No highly detailed gore or anything sexual in general. I'd also like to discuss beforehand if highly-impacting bodily harm (loss of limbs etc) might be a thing for some reason! But otherwise, just hit me up if ever in doubt.

rp wishes/general threading prefs
• Player timezone is CST; I generally work full-time Mon-Thurs, though this can vary. Tags tend to happen in the evenings
• If you need to contact me, a PM to this journal is your best bet! A comment on the HMD post works too
• Writing default is present-tense action brackets; I'll tend to toss introspection even into texting threads, so I'm not great at text-spam boomerang type things these days. Can do normal prose on request, though, so feel free to ask if that's a threading style you'd prefer!
rp wishes/prefs:
• Very open to crosscanon from any medium! Fellow videogames, anime, live action, cartoons, you name it and I'm bound to be here for it. I love carrying over CR across multiple meme threads! Willing to incorporate some assumed cr to make starting threads easier too, if it's hashed out beforehand. Chances are good I might be canonblind, but I'm happy to work with whatever details I'm given!
• Fine with bouncing Lucas off characters from most any walk of life, whether they're peers his own age, younger kids, or older adults
• He's bound to jive extra well with fellow kids from Weird Canons...solidarity...
• He's never had a chance to play the role of faux older brother for somebody else before, and that could be a cute experience! Conversely, people that could inadvertently slot into an older sibling dynamic would be cute too...though if he becomes too aware of it, Lucas would probably have to eventually reconcile this with the sad empty space in his heart where his older twin brother used to be. (give me this sadness tho i'd love it--)
• He could definitely benefit a lot from finding surrogate parental figures in some form too; "present parents" has been another gaping void in his life for the past 3 years or so, between a deceased mom and a largely absent dad. Lucas holds absolutely no active grudge against his parents, and actively thinking about trying to replace them is going to be a concept that's probably never quite embraced--but in the absence of friends like Duster and Kumatora, having other older figures in his life that can offer advice and look out for him...would still be. Really nice.
• Psychic friends, telepathy fun, let's have a bonding experience over Weird Brain Powers in general! Though he's pretty much mastered his own skills by the end of the game, Lucas only became aware of the existence of PSI a couple months ago, and there's really still a lot he doesn't know about it himself. Seeing other forms of psychic abilities in action would be Pretty Neat too!
• Signs up for potential bonding/exchanging coping methods about Dead Family Sadness and/or Chosen One Syndrome in general...
• Very willing to toy around with Smash Bros-verse! Whether it's interactions between tourneys or general recognition from the Smash Experience!! But I won't assume this angle's happening if I thread with characters that are also in Smash unless you specify, so lmk!
• Castmates are a given ofc!! REACHES FOR THEM ALL...this applies to folks hailing from the other games in the Mother series too! My dream is a Lucas + Ness broship, heck throw Ninten in there too, it would be so cute you guys...but I'll tag just about anybody from these games in a heartbeat
• I have a lot of fun dropping bits and pieces about just how extremely strange the situation is for the world as a whole where Lucas is from
